Sender: openbsd-mobile-owner@monkey.org Precedence: bulk Return-Path: Hi. Sorry for asking what must be a stupid question, but is there a replacement for the pcmciad utility that was removed from the source tree last year? I've looked through the entire source tree for something that could plausibly be a replacement and grepped all the man pages, but not found anything. Basically I would just like to run a small script when I insert my ethernet card. This must be a common thing. Since I have not seen any, I'll take a stab at it. I have a PCG-505G and 505RX. Both hang upon removal of any PCMCIA card. What I discovered was that I must use IRQ 11. No exceptions. (www.uglx.org) Of course, this was for Linux. I am in the process of rebuilding my entire network and so I cannot offer any specific help for OBSD, not to mention that I'm also VERY new to OBSD and I've yet to complete an install that I'm happy with, but I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. -Richard ----- Original Message ----- From: Claus Assmann To: Sent: Saturday, March 18, 2000 8:54 PM Subject: OpenBSD-mobile: OS freezes after insertion of PCMCIA card > I've got a Sony PCG-XG9 laptop on which I installed OpenBSD 2.6. > It works quite well except the OS freezes if I insert a PCMCIA card > after the laptop comes back from "hibernation" (suspend-to-RAM, > Fn-ESC).
