In order to get 2.5 on my Libretto I had to boot with a 2.4 floppy, create a partition, copy the files from the ftp site, reboot with 2.5 floppy, install from partition. I CVS'd to current on another system, tar'd the source, reboot the Libretto under 2.4, copy over src.tar file, then reboot into 2.5, install source files, modify as below, and voila, the 3C589 now works under 2.5 on the Libretto. Phew I had to do the same thing to get a 3C589 running on my Toshiba Libretto 50CT. Also I had to remove the "340" selection from the available IO ports, the INT change was not enough. I don't have the diff here as the Libretto is at home basking in the sunlight. Everything worked fine under 2.4. Also from the "daily change log" In pcmcia ep(4) driver, support 3CXEM556B-INT. I have one of these and on the Libretto it comes up as not configured. sigh In hindsight it would have been easier to remove the Libretto HD and connect it with an adapter to one of my other systems, copy everything over, reinstall HD, then go from there, but I like a challenge. diana On Wed, 8 Sep 1999, Markus Friedl wrote: > Hello! > > I had the same problem/patch on my VAIO 747, but > it seems the IRQ problems have been fixed in OpenBSD-current > (don't forget to update the bootblocks!). > > APM (apm0: can't map data) works fine on current, too. > > -markus > > On Mon, Jul 19, 1999 at 11:05:09AM -0700, Steve Slater wrote: > > > > I had a problem with using irq9 on a toshiba. No, I removed the line ( 0x340, 0x040 ) in "struct pcic_ranges pcic_isa_addr", only after the chnage to the "char pcic_isa_intr_list" did not work.
