>Release: 2.3 through 2.8
>Environment:
System : OpenBSD 2.7
Architecture: OpenBSD.i386
Machine : i386
>Description:
The os-bs135.exe file on the ftp site in 2.3 to 2.8 'tools' directories
and on CDs are corrupt.
The openbsd archives show that someone pointed this out at/around 2.4 release
however someone else posted saying it worked for them, probably because
the main program is unarchived before the error and they didn't notice the
CRC error.
>How-To-Repeat:
The executable when run says:
OS-BS/OS-BS.ASM ....CRC Error
>Fix:
The correct file can be found at
ftp://ftp.nsk.su/.3/msdos/dosutil/os-bs135.exe
(found using lycos search, the author of os-bs only has the beta version
available - I say "beta", it's dated 1993...)
cmp shows that the error is at byte position 21353 where there is a missing
null character. The correct file is one byte longer (31290 vs 31289).
