Yes, the bug was still there both before and after the patches to the
initial 3.0 release. None of the patches I saw listed seemed relevant to
the problem I was having, but I applied them anyway, more or less as a
dead chicken waving exercise. I hope that the observation the the CD
install kernel didn't have the problem is helpful. If the right hardware
is a problem send patches, kernels or configs to me for testing. I note
you have a Advansys ABP-940UW on you donated hardware list. Let me know
if you can't get hold of it.
