>Environment:
System : OpenBSD 3.1
Architecture: OpenBSD.i386
Machine : i386
>Description:
fxp0 at pci0 dev 19 function 0 "Intel 82557" rev 0x08: irq 10, address 00:d0:b7:
4d:fe:37
inphy0 at fxp0 phy 1: i82555 10/100 media interface, rev. 4
media goes to 100baseTX full-duplex (that's correct). downloads from the boxes in the same subnet go at ~6MB/s, uploads - no more than 600k/s. tried with multiple clients, different protocols.
>How-To-Repeat:
hardware dependent. see above. (root) shell available on the mentioned machine.
>Fix:
none known. definitely a software failure - linux/freebsd don't exhibit this behaviour on this same machine
