Is anyone using a D-link DFE-580tx with openbsd 3.4? I just installed 3.4
with the generic kernel, it recognizes the above quad card and ifconfig
shows ...ste0 – ste03.  I can setup an ip on any of the latter interfaces
and get connected to the network but the traffic seems to be having
issues as in cutting in and out. For ex. I can connect to the 3.4 box via
ssh from another machine but communicating with it seems to cut in and
out if i put a little load on it. For ex. When logged into the 3.4 box
via ssh and issuing the command “ find /”  ....it will spit out a few
lines,,wait for about 4 sec. Spit out a few more and on and on. It takes
about 2 mins for that command to finish when going through the network.
The same command at the console takes about 10sec and i replaced the
d-link card with a generic 3com-5x and the problem goes away and again
the find /  command continually spits out the info without stopping and
finishes quickly. I cant even use vi over the network with the d-link as
i can type something and then about after a 4-5 sec. Delay it will
appear. Seems like maybe there is something wrong with the driver for
this card.
