>Environment:

	System : OpenBSD 2.6
	Architecture: OpenBSD.i386
	Machine : i386
>Description:
I started ppp manually. After setting the device and speed, I
attempted to start term. The program returned to packet mode
instead of starting term. I waited a few seconds and started
term again. After a few seconds, term started correctly.
Sometimes, term starts correctly the first time.

Afterwards, I started ppp manually and used a dial script instead
of term. Sometimes, I repeatedly get:
		tun0: Error: chat_write: Input/output error
when starting the dial script. I type Ctrl-C to interrupt the dial
script, then wait a few seconds, and try again.
dial usually works the second time around.
>How-To-Repeat:
The problem is intermittent and cannot always be repeated. I have had
the most success at repeating it through the following interaction:

	myname# ppp
	Working in interactive mode
	Using interface: tun0
ppp ON myname set device /dev/cua02
ppp ON myname set speed 57600
	ppp ON myname term
deflink: Entering terminal mode on /dev/cua02
	Type `~?' for help
ppp ON myname /* on error packet mode line */

I can never seem to get it to repeat when I want to analyze it, how
	nice.
>Fix:
To workaround it, I just wait a few seconds and try term or dial
again. I have gotten the error with two different serial ports and
two different modems so I do not think it is hardware.
