>Environment:

>Description:
After joining a server, BitchX misreports several basic variables.
The first screen displays local, global, invisible, and totals users
as well as ircops, unknown connections, number of servers, and total
channels on irc. All of these values are misreported as large negative
numbers (-541079420 or -541079436). The program segfauls and dumps core
shortly after most commands I tried were entered. It did not dump core
when I typed '/help', but all displayed text was unreadable (garbled -
although somewhat regular). Status bars were garbled similarly, and
when i typed '/who **', all output except hostnames and irc servers
	was garbled.
I first saw the program core when I tried to join a channel. Later,
I saw the same behavior when I tried to send my friend a message in a
	query box.
>How-To-Repeat:
Fire up BX with a command line like:
		BitchX ny.gamesnet.net
	or	BitchX irc.core.com
and watch the fun with the numbers on the splash screen. Mine cored
upon joining any efnet server, but on gamesnet I had to try and join a
channel or send someone a message.
