>Description:
First, while I call it high priority/critical, I don't really
know how your classifications work. I only picked those since
the drive doesn't work at all. It works fine under 2.5 as
/dev/acd0a, but under 2.6 it doesn't work as any of the cd*
devices. I can get the dmesg output if you want, but the kernel
never prints out any cd* lines. Right now I'm rebooted under the
2.5 kernel, and unfortunately never saved a 2.6 dmesg. I did
browse Usenet and saw that there were some common problems with
ATAPI CD's, but they all indicated an error message at boot,
while I don't see any errors at all.
This behavior occurs under stock 2.6 GENERIC, as well as a patched
2.6 and a custom compile (patched with the ATAPI patch).
