Network Card Trouble?

	I've got a Puredata 8023 10BT card that gets identified fine on boot,
running under DHCP on a cable modem.  The problem is that it's very slow
at receiving (at best, 1KB/s), and only slightly faster at sending
(around 25 KB/s).

	I know this problem doesn't lie with the cable line, since I can get
700KB/s down on it on another computer, at the same time as this one's
struggling to get 1KB/s.  I also know that the problem isn't just
confined to this network card, since I've tried two others, and got the
same problem.

	Does anyone have any advice?
