you call it "a few people"... i hope there'll be an option to enforce
old behaviour, because i *certanly don't need* F9-F12 to be passed, and
do like them for switching consoles (when linux users say "we switch with
alt-Fn only, i smile :-) i switch with no alt/ctrl/shift).
if not... somebody of those few will need to make a patch.
