$$ for ESS-Maestro2 Soundcard drivers

I am a poor college student who runs openbsd at home and at the office and
I would really love to see support for the maestro myself, as dmesg output
will show:
"ESS Maestro 2E" rev 0x10 at pci0 dev 12 function 0 not configured
I do not have much money but would be willing to chip in $20. I
realize that this is chump change but it's all I can do for now. Too bad
I do not have the time or (currently) the skills to write this or I would
be interested in trying to do it myself.
As a side note, is there a good source of documentation for writing
drivers for OpenBSD? I would love to see some documentation walking
someone from start to finish in writing a driver, even a simple one like I
imagine network cards require. I have seen TCP/IP illustrated by Stevens
but even that did not cover the specific details for the lance card used
in the examples, only the general stuff. I realize the vendor must be
contacted in most cases to get detailed info on the hardware, but from
there I am not sure what needs to be done. I understand that there are
hook functions that once defined comprise the gist of the driver, but
whenever I look at driver code it appears that there is some voodoo going
on that I am not yet learned enough to comprehend.
Silly as it may sound, is there a place for newbie driver writers to go
for this type of info? Either way good luck to those attempting to write
the ESS Maestro driver, and please feel free to contact me for my $20 when
you are done.
