ray0 clue?

Anyone have a spare ray0 clue?

I upgraded to 2.6-current, added an Aviator 2.4 pcmcia card in an ISA
adapter, and it almost works, but not quite.

Here's the relevant dmesg lines:

   pcic0 at isa0 port 0x3e0/2 iomem 0xd0000/65536
   pcic0 controller 0: <Intel 82365SL rev 1> has socket A only

   pcmcia0: CIS version PCMCIA 2.0 or 2.1
pcmcia0: CIS info: WebGear, PC Card WLAN Adapter, Version 4.88 Jan 1999
   pcmcia0: Manufacturer code 0x1a6, product 0x0
pcmcia0: function 0: network adapter, ccr addr f00 mask b

   pcic0: irq 9
   biomask 4040 netmask 4840 ttymask 5ac2

`ifconfig -m ray0` gives:

ray0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST>
        media: IEEE802.11 FH2 adhoc
        status: unknown
        supported media:

        inet6 fe80::200:f1ff:fe11:24e1%ray0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x2

I've confirmed the hardware works in a Win98 desktop box, and in a
Dell Inspiron 3000, under both Win98 and Red Hat 6.1 with the latest
pcmcia package, using the default settings, adhoc, NWID of "NETWORK_NAME".

Can anyone tell me what I'm missing, or what else to check?

Thanks much.
