My guess is hardware conflicts not detected in other OSes. Switch
should not be a problem since I have seen quite a few 4-1 ps2
mouse/ps2 keyboard/SVGA monitor switch working fine.  You would
probably take out all add-on cards and put in one by one to find
out which card sucks big-time.  Also dont forget to reset BIOS to
default and disable BIOS pnp to test. My 2 nickels.
