It should worry you if you want XFree86 to work. I just got burned by 
this chipset myself, but I've got a desktop so $25 to some guy on 
eBay worked around it for me. Some research showed that it may be 
possible to recompile XFree86 3.3.6 to support the Savage chipsets on 
various BSDs, but it looked like a much bigger PITA than I felt like 
dealing with.
