More information:
changing
pcibios0 at bios0 flags 0x0000
to
pcibios0 at bios0 flags 0x0001
in GENERIC seems to have helped (4 boots w/o a panic). Putting the flags
back to 0x0000 recreated the panic (3 times in a row). Restoring flags
to 0x0001 stopped the panic again (twice so far).
Clues?
