Incorrect IP for Dynamic DNS clients
My O'BSD box is acting as a NAT/Firewall for internal LAN with the external
side being cable modem on @Home network.
I'm trying to use either dd-up or ez-ipupdate clients for the dyndns.org
service but both clients are incorrectly determining my external IP for
reporting to the DNS service. Both clients are the latest versions and just
compiled tonight.
My DHCP allocated external IP is 203.164.5.x but an IP of 203.164.3.167 is
being reported by the clients to dyndns.org and I can't see where or why the
clients are obtaining this IP. It (203.164.3.167) doesn't appear anywhere
within "ifconfig -a" and is 4 hops upstream from my IP as shown.....
traceroute to 203.164.3.167 (203.164.3.167), 64 hops max, 40 byte packets

Anyone able to tell me why the wrong IP is being reported or point me at
where/what to look at??
Thanks.

Out the 10Base-T, through the router, down
the T1, over the leased line, off the bridge,
past the firewall .. nothing but Net.
