Hello,

I can't figure out how to solve the following two problems, maybe someone
experieced may help?

o in man options I can't find a note regarding I686_CPU and friends. Now I
  need a kernel on a Cyrix M2 and wonder what to use (586, 686, nothing?)

o tcpdump works with the Generic kernel. It doesn't with my stripped down
  custom kernel config: tcpdump: /dev/bpf0: Device not configured. After
  adding bpfilter, it's: tcpdump: fxp0: Device not configured. In the doc
  I can't find anything except bpf as a prerequisite - so what's missing?

PS: If some kind souls want to reply they may do it privately so I can
write a summary - digging the list's archive imho is a real pain.
