hey guys,
I have upgraded Xfree86 on my machine to 4.0.1 as I have G400 graphics
card in and need 4.0.1 to multihead it (which works excellently with
Matrox's binary Linux driver as long as you have linux emulation working)
However, now when I come to install some ports I get the following:
===> Configuring for xview-config-3.2.1
Error: your X installation is not recent enough
Update to a more recent version, or use a ports tree
that predates March 18, 2000
I can't seem to find a way round it in ports(7) or in
/usr/ports/infrastructure/mk/bsd.port.mk
Is there any way I can still use the ports system where packages have a
requirement for X?
Cheers
