OpenBSD & X11

    I'm about to build a new workstation at work and happened to
mention to my boss that I was going to make it an OpenBSD system
running X.  He promptly said it was a bad idea and that because
OpenBSD doesn't support MTRRs, it's really slow.  Is it correct that
OpenBSD does not support MTRRs?  Is there a graphical performance hit
versus say, FreeBSD?  (I could really use feedback from people who
either have or do use both.)

    He also went on to explain that I wouldn't be able to run version
4 of X because it would never build (so?)  I don't feel the need to be
on the bleeding edge of X, but does it build?

    I really love OpenBSD and I'm dying to have a graphical desktop
under it.  Can anyone help with some ammo to shoot down these
allegations?  BTW, this isn't an "anti-open source, use windows" thing
on his part, we have lots of both.
