RE: Missing 8 meg RAM?

I had this problem with a number of old Compaqs the solution
for which was to add an entry in the /etc/boot.conf for each
machine.
e.g.
machine memory +0x2400000@0x1000000
adds 36Mb (2400000 in hex) at the 16Mb mark (1000000 in hex)
this is mentioned in man boot.conf but without an example.

My computer has 40 meg of RAM, but OpenBSD only uses
32 meg. Any ideas? -- C. Mott
