RE: Swissgerman keyboard
Hi
Well, the swissde is not all the way wrong, some keys are right.
I'll give you an overview
Normal (without Shift, Ctrl, Alt or Altgr)
§ 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 ' ^ Backspace
Tab q w e r t z u i o p ü ¨
a s d f g h j k l ö ä $ Enter(CR,LF)
< y x c v b n m , . -
Shift layour
° + " * ç % & / ( ) = ? `
Nothing? Q W E R T Z U I O P è !
A S D F G H J K L é à £
> Y X C V B N M ; : _
CapsLock has almost the same, except that ö becomes Ö, ä becomes Ä and ü
becomes Ü
AltGr (unfortunately quite often used in swissgerman..)
the 1 becomes ¦
the 2 becomes @
the 3 becomes #
the 6 becomes ¬
the 7 becomes |
the 8 becomes ¢
the ' becomes ´
the ^ becomes ~
the ü becomes [
the ¨ becomes ]
the ä becomes {
the $ becomes }
the < becomes \
funny is, that "kcon -l" doesn't list ANY AltGr bindings... but e.g. @,#,|
work as they should
oh, and the 6-key combination is as following:
Insert Home PageUp
Delete End PageDown
the folowwing keys are wrong:
§ nothing happens
ü "
¨ "
ö "
ä "
° arg apears (using bash as console)
ç nothing happens
£ cr/lf or something else like this
¦ nothing happens
´ "
Ü "
Ö "
Ä "
the french bindings are also non functional - but I don't realy need them :)
delete works fine but the other five of the 6key-combination display just a
~
I hope that you gonna see the same letters and symbols I see - otherwise
I'll take a picture of the keyboard ;/
Sorry, if I look like a dummy user - but this keycap.pcvt looks to me just
like sendmail.cf - and I'm just at level named (BIND) right know (and it's
realy boring if you cant pagedown in a dozen page config file (like
keycap.pcvt)
Thanks and (I guess you have almost the same time) good night!
Philipp

Ok.
Is it totally wrong or is it just some keys that are incorrect.
Since i'm swedish so i dont have a swissgerman keyboard. I have found
a keyboard layout in a vt320 manual. Should it be something like
+ " @% & / ( ) = ? ` the char above ! is a ring and above 3 is
! 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 ´ ^ a filled ring above 4 is a c with , under
~ after P is e` u¨ and \ on altgr
Q W E R T Y Z U I O P ¨
after L is e´ ö [, a` ä ], £ $ #
A S D F G H J K L
> ; : _
< Y X C V B N M , . -
Is this a correct description ?
