Also note that some (maybe all?) cable providers tie your connection to
the MAC address of your ethernet card.  If you swap NICs, or like in
your case if you put a different computer on the cable modem, it won't
work.  In such a situation you need to either use the ethernet card that
was in the Win/whatever machine you originally set up the service on, or
you can spoof the hardware address (I know how to do this in Linux but
not *BSD, though there was a thread about this recently).
