That is incorrect, you CAN share IRQs on the ISA bus, and ive
dealt with that nightmarish setup in my previous work 5 years ago,
Most of the Dialogic telephony cards and drivers make extensive use
of IRQ sharing, shared memory and some very disgusting settings
for they intercard communications across a PCM Bus used to be
called (PEB) and now replaced with the new SCSA technology,
blah perhaps not new anymore i have not touch one of those
in years.
Anyway, for the ISA IRQ sharing fanatics, forget it, unless
the drivers and cards were thought and implemented to
support it you are just asking for trouble.
