2.8 not detecting 3Com 3CCFW575BT-D

I've got a Dell Latitude CPi with a 3Com 3CCFE575BT-D that
I'd love to install 2.8 onto.  But, floppy28.fs doesn't detect
the 3Com card.

I have a modem in the first slot, which gets detected fine.
I've also tried removing the modem and moving the 575 from the 
second slot to the first, but still no deal.

A boot -c with verbose shows the probing of the 2 slots, but
that's it.

Anyone have any pointers as to how to get his fella detected?
