Probs compiling Qt libraries

I'm trying to compile Qt for KDE2.0 and its dying.  Running out of virtual
memory.  I tried ulimit -v 64000 but I get an error.

borrowedtime  3:57PM libs2 # ulimit -v 64000
ulimit: bad option: -v

how do I change the virtual mem?

I'm using 2.7.w/64mb of ram on a PII 333

Let me know if more info is needed.
