Crist, I can provide a very accurate archive of the SMP list for the
last few months:

""

The last traffic I saw on the list was probably in August, possibly
July, to the effect of ``where are the archives? what is the status?''.
A very nice person gave the URL of an older archived message (maybe in
misc@ or tech@, though I don't recall either way) that described what
OpenBSD would do, if SMP support were to be added. It boiled down to,
``If we are going to do SMP, we are going to do it as we do anything
else in OpenBSD -- the right way. That means ... and ... and ... .''
This email was sent many months ago, maybe even on the order of 1.5 or
more years.

Sadly enough, I don't recall what the things were. I think it was mostly
along the lines of ``no spin locks, fully-re-entrant code, and we want
to ensure several CPUs can be executing in the kernel at once''.

Yes, it is a tall task.

Google might provide more information on this.

HTH :)
