Sparc 2 X trouble

Hi, I am not sure if this is the correct list for this question, but since I
couldn't find the sparc misc list I will post it here, and if its in the
wrongplace, please redirect me to the correct one.

I installed OpenBSD 2.6 on an old skool Sun Sparc 2 a while back, I
installed all the packages, I haven't had time to really play with it until
today, and I discovered that X doesn't want to start.
when I type startx it just says something like (the ... is the part I can't
remember):

No Screens Found:
Broken connection :0.0 (Server killed or ... )

I know this machine is capable of running X since when I acquired it, it
turned out it was used as a SunOS 4.1.1 box at UC SB and from what the guy
told me it was an X box.  The console mode is horribly slow, and I still
haven't found a way to activate telnet, so I am kind of stuck.  I read the
README file in the X directory and it said no sparc configuration necessary,
and I tried searching the sparc misc list, but came up with nothing.  Can
someone please hook me up with a pointer as to where I should look for more
info on this... ?
