Hi all,

I have finally found the reason why IP forwarding did not work. It has 
nothing to do with ipf or the box itself. The problem is that I did not 
properly configure the routing tables on both the segments, thus the packets 
never reach the card on the firewall. Well, guess I better brush up on my 
networking. Thanks to all of you who have replied to my questions.
