I am reading into it mostly;-)) since the system i tested against

set to deny ICMP requests except unless explicit and the error it gives on
their end is Time out just like what happens when one pings something that
is [N]ot [T]here well the string return seens to reflect this.. in any event

netcraft fails when i try the uptime .. Then it appears that ICMP is in the
picture
and well they depend on this to first see if it is up IMHO. then it fails
because
