Does the whole machine lock up solid or is it just the fxp that doesn't
respond?
I'm working on a solution for pr 1317 that locks up the fxp driver if a
certain sequence of commands are issued to it. A workaround you can try
is to disable INET6 in your kernel config. But I've never seen crashes
because of this problem.
