talk: Couldn't bind to .....

I recently switched from cable to DSL.  I have had tons of problems since 
the switch.  First it is still using my old cable DNS server.  It was having 
problems with the DHCP which I fixed and now is still having some hostname 
problems.

When anyone tries to use talk it gives the error message:

talk: Couldn't bind to control socket: Can't assign requested address

It was working fine before.  I used to have a fully qualified IP address but 
now with DSL my CISCO  675 DSL/router has the IP and I have it set up to 
pass traffic to 10.0.0.2.  Maybe this could be the problem?
