more with the install freezing

Well, I made some progress.  I was using an old keyboard, with a little
adapter on it for PS/2.  After taking that off and putting in an actual
PS/2 keyboard, it managed to get through base28.tgz, as well as etc,
before freezing on misc.  Then I tried again, only disabling PCIBIOS,
and I managed to get an install at last.  Problem is, when I try to boot
it up afterwards, it freezes at starting KVM, unless I boot up with the
keyboard unplugged, and then plug it in after.  With the extra info
would anyone have more of an idea what my problem is and what I can do
about it?
