Re: long usernames?



The ISP question really is different.  Most modern ISPs, for
better or worse, don't offer shells.  In general, users don't
need Unix logins at all - POP, Web, etc logins can be maintained
elsewhere (RADIUS, LDAP, etc).

And there are no 'correct patches' that are tested/complete.
If memory serves, people expressed interest, but that was
the end of it.
