Unable to get out
Greetings,
I am using OpenBSD as a Nat, firewall box for my @home cable connection,
and it works very well. My friend recently got cable service and wanted me
to replicate my setup for him. I installed OBSD and configured the network
settings for his account, but I can't get it to work. I have 2 NIC's, one
configured with @home's public IP address and gateway, but when I plug it
in and try to ping the gateway, I get "Host is down" errors. If I plug in
his windows machine instead, I am able to ping the gateway successfully.
Can anyone hazard a guess as to what might be wrong? Could it be possible
for @home to detect that the machine is not windows, and thus reject it?
@home will not support anything other than windows/mac.
Thanks. Please respond directly to me.
