Re: Problem while trying to do net install on Sparcstation 10
Besides all possible cabling problems (try some known working patch cables
and check link lights on hub/switc/whatever, yak yak), has this machine
been without use for quite some time? Any problems with the NVRAM?
I had a strange experience with a SparcStation 2 like this where I saw
every bit of evidence that the connection was fine, and even saw link
activity. Problem was the MAC address was a little strange (not broadcast,
I'm not exactly sure what was going on with it, but it wasn't valid) and I
had to reset it to a "valid" MAC address.
