cool.

but it means that for newer people doing the install, there is only the 2.8
directory, the src_tar.gz file and the standard readmes. . .and not the
directory structure. . .as opposed to what i got with the 2.7 cd. . .

it's just a dumb hurdle. . .

so no union mount to get the kernel files, etc. . .

I think you have to untar/zip one of the files on the root of the cd and
it's in there.  I'm pretty sure I had to do that.
