Re: I386 USERS PLEASE READ: wscons

Hi Aaron,

for first the usual "Tahnk you" for the great work - keep on!

In OpenBSd/i386 until 2.8-stable, there is one really annoying thing about
headless servers: you can't enable support for the serial console at boot
time (echo "set tty com0 > /etc/boot.conf) as the machine won't boot without
a serial console attached then. This is caused by the BIOS and can only be
avoided by accessing the serial ports directly (yes, assembler code...). It
should be easy to port FreeBSDs sio.s (which accesses the ports directly) to
OpenBSD, abd in fact I just started to do so.
Does the change away pcvt address this issue too?

Greetings

Henning
