client x509's for VPN access

Can anyone give me advice on creating x509's for clients to use in a VPN
setup 
with OBSD 2.8.  I have been reading documentation and noticed that every
example
for creating tunnels and certs uses definite ip's, where the mobile client
will not have 
such a beast!  

Any tips are appreciated.  For anyone else that had issues with PGP and
Isakmpd,
updating your isakmpd is the ticket!  Works beautiful, I just don't want to
use shared 
secrets if possible.
