Can't run check for integer sizes

Hi,
	I'm trying to upgrade my 2.7 server to 2.8 by building the source. Got
through the gcc bootstrap and kernel build. Now, when it gets to trying to
build libf2c, I get the error Can't run check for integer sizes during the
config stage. I found a reference to the exact error on the Web but the
person deleted the egcs directory and grabbed the latest source with cvs. My
source is only two days old.
	Any thoughts would be appreciated.
