It's not just the SCSI!!
We installed a new OpenBSD server using a Tyan motherboard and the whole
thing was doing a hard-crash (!!) whenever I'd upload files to it. (No
SCSI used at all.)
Turns out it was super-picky about exactly what kind of RAM you use with
it, even though I was using regular stock 256meg PC133 ECC ram.
We replaced the motherboard with an Intel and it's worked perfectly.
