hi all,
just upgraded to XFree86 4.0.2.. everything went rather seemless, i rebuilt
my XF86Config file with XF86Setup and everything took rather well.. however,
i'm having problems starting programs using the DISPLAY envrionment. example:
[root@typhoon][/usr/local/saint] export DISPLAY="typhoon:0"
[root@typhoon][/usr/local/saint] ./saint &
Xlib: connection to "typhoon:0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Client is not authorized to connect to Server
Error: Can't open display: typhoon:0
the same thing happens when i try to set the variable to "0:0"
when i try to run xhost to try and set allowed connections it generates the
same kind of 'refused by server' errors.. any hints? read through the xhost
pages but dont see anything about this :/ thanks..
