Yes, XDMCP Broadcast and indirect queries functionnality in xdm must
be enabled.
man xdm
In /var/X11/xdm/xdm-config, comment the line:
#DisplayManager.requestPort: 0
Then you go in /var/X11/xdm/Xaccess and give the list of host
permitted to run a remote session (or the '*' wildcard record).
Restart xdm.
man xdm
