Small correction here:
xf86config does work -- it complains about invalid card entries, but if
you press <ENTER> in each case (if think two entries are foobar'ed), you
get to the configuration menu, and it generates a proper file.
Comments though:
- the driver comes back as "unknown", which obviously requires hand
editing (just read the drivers doc to find your entry)
- there is no choice for wsmouse, though according to the xfree86.org
relnotes this is one of the mods in 4.0.3.
Haven't tried to recompile openmotif yet, so can't confirm whether we
have an improvement other the previous snapshot.
Best Regards,
PYD

Hi,
I have it running here, and seems to be working ok.
The only caveats:
- XF86Setup creates a wrong config file with
things like "1024x0" modes. When running it
it works flawless, tho. And the test does work.
- xf86config doesn't work (should it be there?)
- xf86config3 does work
My card is a S3 pci, configured to S3/Trio32 (generic)
dmesg line of the card:
vga1 at pci0 dev 17 function 0 "S3 Trio32/64" rev 0x00
