BIND 8 or 9
I've read the FAQ and i'm aware of why OpenBSD keeps BIND4.x as it's
default. I'm about to configure BIND from scratch on my OpenBSD 2.8 box
and I'm wondering which version to go with. This will only be for internal
clients; I don't have a static IP so I use a dynip service to direct
*.mydomain to my IP address. The machine it will be on is my mail/ftp
server/ipfilter box (I have two gateways).
For my purposes, is there any reason not to go with BIND 8 or 9? I'd like
to setup another BIND on my Ultra 5 and have them share data, just so I
can learn BIND. I figure if I'm learning it from it would behoove me to
learn something a bit newer than 4.x. TIA
