RE: 2.9 snapshots looking good?
> so how are the 2.9 snapshot builds looking?
I tried to boot from the floppy to do an FTP upgrade, but it's not
working. After enabling the network, I get the message:
ifconfig: dhcp: bad value
And I don't get an IP address. The machine is a home firewall through
an RR cable modem. I'm not changing any of the hardware, so it's not a
MAC address issue.
I believe I had this problem before with a 2.8 snapshot, but I was in a
hurry at the time so I "cheated" and just downloaded the source files to
the local disk.
Any suggestions? I know I could just write down my DHCP address and
gateway and set it manually for the upgrade, but I'd rather figure out
how to fix the problem. Useful configuration info from the current
install is below, the external interface is ep0.
(I did search the FAQs and archives first, too!)
