Re: problems installing 2.8 on sparc (resolution)



And the answer is... the bootblock gets installed after /dev/MAKEDEV 
runs so because I was panic'ing out before it finished, the bootblock 
never got installed.  I figured out the reason for the panic was bad 
memory - once it was removed, the install completed without a hitch 
and the disk boots fine.
