Re: symmetric key encryption utilities



aescrypt @ sourceforge - is the utility that uses " advanced encryption
algorithm (aes)" and as chosen to replace 3DES.  (More on aes can be
found on www.nist.org\aes)

While the algorithm  went through a few reviews, it is a "new" algorithm
and since all crypto algorithms are based on our "ignorace" or inability
to understand how a reverse function(s) work(s) it is never a bad idea to
use a combination of algorithms - depending on what you want to encrypt
and who you hide it from.

It's way harder to break a key than break a > passphrase based on english
