OT? VMWare on *BSD?

The above link is a posting at Wasabi Systems about their "port" of
VMWare to NetBSD. I don't have a spare machine to try it on at the
moment, but I'm wondering if anyone here has tried this under 
OpenBSD or even FreeBSD (I know, that's slightly OT, please forgive).
