I have beening using Tkrat for some time now and it works fine.  At
times it can be touchy but I am also a newbie.  As far as filtering I
doubt it can do what you want it to do.  It does have a database that
TKRat users really like once they get the hang of it.  The listserv
group is also fairly decent.
